In 1998, two entrepreneurial-minded individuals, both with backgrounds in golf, one with a strong background in the travel business and the other with a strong background in the consumer show business launched the International Golf Show. Tim Orlando with a 20 year background in the travel industry and owner of Ultimate Golf Vacations along with Claudio DeMarchi a seasoned veteran of the consumer show industry having worked on the creation and development of the original Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver Golf Shows as well as the current owner/producer of the London Golf & Travel Expo. Why a golf show in Toronto in the fall time period? Simple, the Greater Metropolitan Toronto Area is the largest and most lucrative golf market in Canada. Canada continues to be a leader with one of the highest golf participation rates in the world with one of the shortest local playing seasons.
